At OPUS, we provide a holistic approach to training
“After many years delivering medicines training to care staff, I realised staff face daily medicines challenges without being given the information, advice or support they really need. At OPUS, we provide a holistic approach to training, we want our learners to feel confident as well as competent after one of our courses. Staff know that OPUS is there to support them before, during and after their training and that OPUS is as dedicated to them being able to succeed in their role as they are. Together we are working towards the ultimate goal of keeping people safe.”

OPUS has a commitment to the aims of Putting People First, the Department of Health initiative that aims to promote compassion and respect in the treatment of all users of care services. All OPUS trainers are proactive Dignity in Care champions.
Working together with its customers, OPUS can meet the training needs of all care settings including care homes, homecare, extra care, supported living, learning disability services, children’s services, personal assistants, shared lives, foster care and schools.
Our team of over 30 OPUS Pharmacist trainers are dedicated to providing informative training in a personable and engaging way to ensure learners get the most out of the sessions. They enjoy sharing their years of experience in the care sector and deliver training that produces confident, competent care staff who can deliver the best outcomes for the people they support.
OPUS also provides medication audits, medication policy writing and pharmacist advice visits.
OPUS training helps staff administer medication safely, minimise medication errors and increases awareness and understanding of medicines. Once trained by OPUS, staff will be able to work with confidence within the law and understand their responsibilities.
OPUS provides organisations with peace of mind that their medication policy is effective and their team is trained proficiently to fully protect those in their care.
